Every Michigander must be able to
vote safely and securely.

Our Principles

The VoteSafe principles have been endorsed by elected officials from across the political spectrum as well as widely recognized organizations.

Our Principles

  1. Michigan should ensure voters have accessible, secure mail-in ballots and safe, in-person voting sites.
  2. Public officials shall use all tools within their authority to ensure that every ballot is verified and every vote is counted. The American people must be able to trust the process and the result.

Many expect a historic turnout in the coming elections and amid a pandemic, Michigan residents shouldn’t be forced to jeopardize their health to vote. Whether people are elderly, at greater risk to COVID-19, or are simply fearful of being sick, they should be able to exercise their right to vote with the peace of mind that the voting process is safe and won’t pose a health risk.
